Untitled Black, White, Red, Cobalt is created by k-apostrophe; K’era Morgan is a Los Angeles-based mixed media artist, and this is her artist statement, "Whether they are stories of encouragement or limiting beliefs, they are reflected in how we live our lives. It’s a cycle as we constantly pull feedback from the world around us to either validate the stories we tell ourselves or to shape new storylines. My work is a reflection of this process. Guided by intuition each piece is a non-linear story made of fragments from the world around me. Pulled from pieces of things that existed in other forms, manipulated and reassembled into a new narrative. The use of color, gestural marks and wrinkles of the paper are a direct representation of our day-to-day lives which rarely lack texture or marks, rough spots and brights spots."
